Fallen Inn
As one can guess this is part of the Texas collection, as your winding through this little town in the wastelands of Texas you will stumble upon this little janky inn.
what was once a popular Inn now lay in the outskirts of the old highway. The sign creaked as the storm clouds blew into Texas giving a even more eerie feel to the location.
when you first come into view there isn’t much left, most of the homeless people that go through along with the usual teenage/ gang population destroying everything and graffiti all over everything it can definitely be a sight for sore eyes.
any photographer would get squirmy arriving at a location like this that clearly lacks proper hygiene.

The inn had 5 buildings. 2 of the buildings being the rooms. Roughly 40 rooms in total (20 on each side times 2 buildings) 1 maintenance room, the lobby, and across from the inn you would see a small store. walking around I discovered a pool, and a small tiki bar…or what was left of it.
I didn’t get many pictures of the main lobby or really inside of any of the rooms because of the lack of items and cool designs. Anything that would have been saved was greatly destroyed for either fires or just teenagers being dumb. The lobby housed the desk, a bathroom, and possibly a small on suite for the inn taker, as much was destroyed it was hard to get a good layout.

the 2 main building that had the rooms was of course the same, disgusting 1990’s linoleum floor and the god awful wood paneling, your simple closets and a small bathroom, some of these had double beds and some didn’t, I couldn’t say for sure how many single rooms and how many double rooms. I know there was atleast 1 double room because the headboard was still attached to the wall.
the maintenance room was to risky to enter with the floors creaking and moaning under your weight.

the Texas skies grew dark and eerie as you moved along. As you was walking from building to building you would see the occasional thrown out items. A fan, hand washing sign, a couch, mattresses.
I started going around and stumbled upon a pool and what was a small tiki bar. This lead to possibly one of my favorite pictures, along with a up close picture of the sign that you could see along the old highway

when you move across from the inn you notice the old store, clearly not much to look at but still had some amazing surprises. The handles on the old coolers was these old handles that you had to push a button and lift up to open the door.
As the sun started to peak through the clouds that was my time to leave.

Don’t take anything but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time.
